Hockey Helps Hospice – Event Recap
On February 20, 2026, the community came together at the Vikings Rental Center in Okotoks for our annual Hockey Helps Hospice event, proudly hosted by the Okotoks Oilers. The day was filled with energy, teamwork, and tremendous community spirit as players, families, and supporters rallied to raise funds for compassionate end‑of‑life care.
Thanks to the generosity of everyone who participated, we raised $1,937.50 in support of Foothills Country Hospice. Every dollar helps ensure that individuals and families in our region receive the comfort, dignity, and care they deserve at the end of life.
We are sincerely grateful to the Okotoks Oilers, the Vikings Rental Center, and all who attended for making this event such a meaningful success. We look forward to skating together again next year!

Our community truly went the extra mile—and then some—at this year’s Hike for Hospice Hustle. With the sun shining and spirits high, an incredible 967 participants laced up their sneakers to hit the trails, creating a powerful wave of energy and momentum. Whether you ran, walked, or cheered from the sidelines, the day was a beautiful tribute to memory and movement, proving once again that when we come together, we can make a monumental impact on the lives of those in our care.
Because of your tireless dedication and the support of our generous sponsors, we are absolutely thrilled to announce that we raised over $108,000! This record-breaking total is a testament to the compassion of our region and will go directly toward supporting Foothills Country Hospice. These funds ensure that individuals and their families receive the comfort, dignity, and professional care they deserve at the end of life.
