Mary Dougherty was a Registered Clinical Psychologist, now semi-retired.  Mary worked for Alberta Health Services at Foothills Hospitals for a number of years before decamping out to BC.  In British Columbia she worked at the Kelowna General Hospital in the Emergency Department for eight years.  However, missing her family, Mary returned to Alberta in 2016 and has now settled in Okotoks.  Mary continues to see clients in her small private practice.

She is the mother of three grown children;  all are married with children of their own.   She is a proud grandma of 10!  5 girls, 5 boys, and soon to become a great grandma.  In her spare time Mary enjoys running on the picturesque pathways in town, hiking in the mountains, skiing, golfing and tennis.  She loves long walks with her rather large dog, a Greater Swiss Mountain dog.

After becoming semi retired, Mary was drawn to volunteer work at the Foothills Country Hospice originally doing some gardening – which is definitely not her strongest talent!  She now volunteers on reception and patient support in addition to being on the Board.
