Why Give?
According to a 2009 study, only 16% – 30% of Canadians who die currently have access to or receive hospice palliative and end-of-life care services — and fewer receive grief and bereavement services. These statistics are even more alarming in rural locations.

Help ensure terminally ill patients (and their loved ones) have access to and receive the end-of-life care they wish for. Your donation will help fund our palliative programs and support services for patients and their families
Make a one-time gift and help patients and loved ones staying with us feel at home. A donation of $60 provides a day’s worth of home-cooked meals and snacks for a patient. A donation of just $25 provides guest WiFi access so patients and loved ones can stream their favourite movies in the comfort of their own rooms.
Join our monthly giving program, Hospice Heroes. Your monthly gift will help fund our palliative programs and support services – where attention is paid to physical needs, expert pain and symptom management, emotional and spiritual support and bereavement care.
Endowed and long-term gifts have a lasting impact. By endowing and investing these funds with the Calgary Foundation, FCHS benefits from the investment expertise and pooling ability of an organization whose very existence is to enhance our community through sustainability funds. This leaves FCHS free to use its resources to do what we do best: accomplish our mission and vision as a leading specialist in end-of-life and bereavement care.
